Who doesn’t love a good Sunday reset? My Sunday cleaning routine is just what I need to get me ready for the week ahead. There’s no better way to start your week than with a fresh, clean house. So I thought I would share with you the routine I stick to and the products that help make my home look and smell amazing!

My Sunday Cleaning Routine:

1. Laundry

I always start the laundry by washing my clothes first and then once I am done cleaning the house I will wash the towels. This way our clothes wash while I clean and all the towels I used while cleaning get put in the washer right when I am done.

To separate our laundry we use this awesome hamper from Amazon. We received it as a gift off of our wedding registry and I absolutely love it. It’s super sturdy and works very well. Previously I had one from Target that I ended up throwing away because it was so flimsy and just felt cheap. I highly recommend the one from Amazon!

I currently use this laundry detergent with this fabric softener. Once the clothes go in the dryer I use these dryer sheets and the combination of all three leave our laundry smelling wonderful!!

2. Make the Bed

Even if your house isn’t completely clean, making your bed every day can make a big difference. It takes two minutes to do and helps give your home that “put together” look even if you feel like it’s not.

3. Bathroom Cleaning Routine

To clean the bathrooms I use Soft Scrub to scrub the sinks and inside of the toilets. On the toilet seat and outside of the toilet I use this bathroom cleaner spray and wipe it all down.

After the sinks have been cleaned I use this cleaning spray for our granite countertops. It smells delicious and cleans very well!

Next, I use this glass cleaner with a microfiber towel to clean the bathroom mirrors. So the spray doesn’t get all over the counters and sinks I just cleaned, I spray the glass cleaner directly on the towel and then wipe down the mirrors.

Every few weeks or as needed I will clean the showers/bathtubs. I use this bathroom shower spray and it does a great job of getting rid of all the grime that builds up from our shower products. I spray it all over and let it sit for a minute before scrubbing. Then I rinse it all off and check for any missed areas.

4. Kitchen Cleaning Routine

In the kitchen, I use the same product to clean the kitchen sink as I did in the bathrooms. The granite countertop spray I used in the bathrooms is also my everyday countertop spray in our kitchen and it does a great job of getting rid of grease and grime.

I use Clorox wipes to clean our stove top. We have a gas range so I remove the grates and use the Clorox wipes to clean around the burners.

All of our appliances are stainless steel. So I use stainless steel wipes to clean all the appliances, followed by a paper towel to get remove any residue left over from the wipes.

5. Dust/Wipe Down All Other Surfaces

All of the other surfaces in our house are wood material. For example, the dining table and chairs, coffee table, dresser, nightstands, cabinets, etc. For all of these wood surfaces I first dust them off with a Swiffer duster. Then I use this spray and wipe them all down.

6. Clean the Floors

Last but not least, the floors. I use our Tineco coordless vacuum on our tile floors to pick up any dirt, hair, etc. We absolutely love it and it’s super light weight. After vacuuming I use the O-Cedar mop and bucket to mop the floors. I usually mop every 2-3 weeks depending on how dirty the floor gets/feels.

For our carpet, we use this amazing vacuum that is especially great if you have pets. It has a brush that you can turn on or off so it can be used on hard floors as well. It also comes with a pet upholstery tool to get that stubborn pet hair off of your furniture and a crevice tool to get in those tight corners. Highly recommend!
