7 Ways to Decorate Your Dining Table

There are many ways to decorate your dining table, but today I am going to discuss 7 types of decor you cannot go wrong with.

One of my favorite areas to gather with family or friends in my home is in the dining room. Mostly because that usually means food is involved of course. Dining tables are a staple furniture piece in every home.

Growing up my parents and I sat at the dining table for dinner every single night. It was a place to talk about your day and to grub on mom’s home cooking. Dining tables are where some of the best memories are made, whether you’re having Thanksgiving dinner or a riveting Tuesday game night. So, let’s talk about 7 ways to decorate your dining table!

Vases are always one of my go to decor pieces for any area in my home. There are so many different style vases and ways to dress them up. You can arrange multiple sizes, add flowers or leaves, or leave them empty for a modern and simple design.

Plants & Flowers

Plants and flowers can go hand in hand with vases, however I wanted to separate them because vases are not the only way plants can be displayed on your dining table. Setting a garland along the length of a table can add a ton of greenery to a room which can give a clean and vibrant feel. Or you can keep it simple with a neutral toned vase holding leaf stems. Succulents also make great centerpieces and are super easy to take care of!

Trays & Bowls

You cannot go wrong with a good tray or bowl. Personally I have at least 3 trays in my house and you can put them anywhere! But, on your dining table they make such a great base for any type of decor you want to add to them. There are a variety of items to put inside of a bowl and they are especially great during the holidays. Trays can hold items such as candles, vases, books, plants, and so much more.

Lanterns & Candles

Lanterns and candles are great for dining table decor because they can fit into any style home. Whether you like farmhouse, industrial, mid-century modern or any other design type, a lantern or candle will fit perfectly.
